SERWAKAI, S WAZIRISTAN: The political administration distributed compensatory cheques among temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) of South Waziristan whose houses were damaged during Rah-e-Nijat operation. These cheques worth over Rs50.5 million were given away in a ceremony by Assistant Political Officer (APO) Muhammad Shoaib Khan to families of three villages of Serwakai tehsil, including Nuroghrazi, Torghazi and Babighazi.

Speaking on the occasion, the APO said that the amount was distributed among more than 220 TDPs families including those whose houses were either fully damaged or partially during Rah-e-Nijat drive which was successfully conducted against militants.
