Tragedy Strikes: Two minors burnt alive   

The bodies were shifted to Mayo Hospital

LAHORE/ BAGHBANPURA: Two minor girls were burnt alive and as many of their infant siblings sustained critical injuries when a fire broke out at a house at Sawami Nagar, Lahore on Wednesday. Police said the children were alone when a fire, caused by a gas heater, broke out. As a result, two sisters received serious burn injuries and died on the spot, while their siblings received were rushed to the Mayo Hospital. Doctors stated the infants suffered 70% burn injuries and their condition was critical. Four fire rescue vehicles reached the spot and controlled the blaze after learning of the incident. Meanwhile, three members of a family, including two children, died in a road accident in Daroghawala within the Baghbanpura police jurisdiction on Wednesday. According to police, Tahir, 19, along with Muhammad Ahmad, 11, and Abdullah, 10, was on his way home on a motorcycle when a tractor trolley crashed into their vehicle, killing three of them on the spot. The driver of the tractor trolley fled after the accident. The bodies were shifted to Mayo Hospital.
