ISLAMABAD: A female law student studying at International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI) has been missing for a week.
This is the second student of a university to go missing in the capital in this time.
The girl’s family have told the police that their 23-year-old daughter* had gone to university on December 16, but never came back home. Following a complaint from the girl’s father, Sabzi Mandi police registered a kidnapping case against unidentified kidnappers.
Police said that the student hailed from Rawalpindi and lived at the varsity’s hostel. Officials said they had launched an investigation into her disappearance but have yet to find any clues.
Meanwhile, another female student* from an engineering college in the capital had been missing since December 20.
The girl, 21, was a student at Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE), located on Ataturk Avenue.
