LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman on Tuesday said that in an effort to address problems faced by the media, the government will consult journalists.

Addressing a dinner he hosted for CPNE, the minister said that new rules and procedures are being introduced in his department to improve their performance. He said he will assist CPNE in its efforts to resolve the problems faced by journalists.

President CPNE Zia Shahid, Secretary General Aijazul Haque, Senior Vice-President Shaheen Qureshi, Vice-President Rehmat Ali Razi, Joint Secretary Irfan Athar Qazi and other senior journalists including Mujeebur Rehman Shami, Arif Nizami, Jameel Athar Qazi, Kazim Khan, Syed Mumtaz Shah, Ayaz Khan, Naveed Choudhry, Yawar Khalil, Tanveer Shaukat, Sardar Abid, Zubair Mehmood, Safdar Ali Khan, Syed Farzand Ali, Nasheed Ra’ee, Bashir Ahmed Khan, Javed Salim, Munawarul Hasan Khawja, Syed Muneer Jilani, Zulfiqar Rahat, Syed Intizar Hussain Zanjani, Nadeem Chaudhry, and Muhammad Asim also attended the dinner.
