No casualties: Raids in Sukkur after bomb blast

SUKKUR: Police on Wednesday evening raided different villages and arrested around 20 suspects, following a bomb blast at Rohri-Arore road near Rohri bypass. The remote controlled bomb was planted to target Chinese engineers, who were being escorted by the Rangers personnel. The bomb however, went off after the convoy of Chinese engineers had crossed the site. The SSP Sukkur Amjad Ahmed Shaikh rushed to the scene along with a heavy contingent of police and the bomb disposal squad.
