The CPEC is a framework of regional connectivity
LAHORE: The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC) One Belt-One Road project is a ray of hope for the future of Pakistan. This project is once again going to intensify the sodality of Pakistan and China. An oft-repeated phrase that describes the rapport between Pakistan and China, and told by my mother, is that it is a relationship higher than the mountains, deeper than the oceans, sweeter than honey, and stronger than steel. This project is going to give a leg-up to Pakistan.
The CPEC is a framework of regional connectivity. It will not only benefit China and Pakistan, but will have positive impact on Iran, Afghanistan, India, and Central Asian countries. This route directly connects Gwadar to Kashgar, which provides a good opportunity to supply oil to east China where six per cent of the total Chinese population lives. Oil after entering the boundary of China, it can easily be transported to west China where the other 94 per cent of the total population resides.
