Digital Mapping: Drone technology to mark lands

LAHORE: Drone technology will be used to record the area of lands in the province. The move has been made to streamline land records. A statement issued on Wednesday quoted spokesperson of the Punjab government as saying. According to him, the use of drone technology will help in computerising land records. The initiative will allow authorities concerned to streamline land records with the help of digital mapping. It will also help in updating the ownership details. Moreover, the move will help relevant officials in expediting work on revenue cases. A pilot project for the purpose has been prepared with the help of Punjab Information Technology Board.
