Panic and fear gripped as an armed man fired outside a private school in Haroonabad area of Bahawalnagar, Express News reported.

Heavy contingents of police reached the site and safely evacuated the school.

Earlier, reports suggested armed men tried to enter the school. However, police denied any such reports saying the school was searched and no one was found inside.

Earlier this year, a firing incident near Viqar-un-Nisa School and College for Girls in Rawalpindi caused panic and fear in the vicinity.
