Tragedy strikes: Roof collapse claims girl’s life; man shot dead

Muhammad Jahangir was killed while on way to deposit money in a bank

SARGODHA: A girl died in a roof collapse while a man was shot dead during a robbery bid in Sargodha on Tuesday. Besides, two persons were also killed in separate incidents.

Roof collapse

A four-year-old girl was killed, while a child suffered injuries when the roof of a house collapsed in Sajid Shaheed police limits. A police official said Sahiha and her brother were present in their house when the roof collapsed. As a result, Sabiha was killed, while her brother Suleman, 6 was injured.

Gunned down

A man was gunned down during a robbery bid in Urban Area police limits. A police official said Muhammad Jahangir, a resident of Block 33, was on his way to the bank to deposit money when unidentified armed motorcyclists intercepted him and tried to snatch money. When he resisted, the outlaws opened fire, killing him on the spot and fled the scene.

Tortured to death

A man was killed by his nephews in Sargodha. Police said Muhammad Ali, a resident of Alipur Dera Village, argued with his nephews identified as Ramzan, Adnan and Zaman over a family dispute. As the arguments escalated, Ali’s nephews tortured him to death and fled the scene. Police has registered a case against the suspects.

Road accident

A man was killed, while eight others suffered injuries in separate road accidents in Bhalwal and Saddar police limits. Police said Shariq Imtiaz was riding a motorcycle on Sargodha Road when another motorcyclist collided with him near Bhalwal Bypass. As a result, Shariq died on the spot, while the other motorcyclist was injured.

Meanwhile, a speedy car hit a rickshaw in Kalyar Town injuring seven persons. The injured were identified as Asma Bibi, Fatima Bibi, Muhammad Hussain and others. The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
