KARACHI: This is with reference to Ahmed Saeed Minhas’s letter “A time for pragmatism” (February 17). Certainly nothing can take away the pain that the families of the two men killed by Raymond Davis must be feeling. There are, however, greater things at stake here, not least the US-Pakistan relationship. Davis may not enjoy diplomatic immunity but there is a solution, one preferred by Islam, and that is qisas and diyat. The media could perhaps help play a role in this.
