Imambargah attack

Letter October 18, 2016
The Government of Pakistan has finally begun naming the Taliban as the main culprits

KARACHI: October 17 witnessed a blast at the Dar-e-Abbas Imambargah, Karachi, in which 13-year-old Faraz lost his life and many others were injured. These planned bomb blasts are creating havoc in the lives of people, targeting them for their races, religions and castes. Brainwashed individuals organise these massacres on shrines, tombs, marketplaces and places of worship and victims become crippled for life or die in the most painful conditions.

The attackers want to destroy humanity and have created fear in the hearts of people. Everyone is scared of death whenever he or she goes out of his house. These suicide bombings drive down the economy and create mistrust between individuals. The Government of Pakistan has finally begun naming the Taliban as the main culprits but it must now provide foolproof security for everyone. Law-enforcement agencies should protect the simplest rights of individuals in the city by providing peace, harmony and security.
