It appears the ban on Pakistani actors by the
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena in the aftermath of Uri attacks have left Bollywood completely divided.

While some condemned the ban threat, others supported it. Choreographer and director Farah Khan, also jumped on the bandwagon and has opened up about the matter.

Speaking to media in an interview, Farah supported the ban saying Bollywood doesn't need Pakistani actors.

"I think from now on, if you are saying we should not work with them, I say we have enough talent in our country and we should work with people from our country," she said.

Drawing a comparison, the Happy New Year director said Indian artists are better than Pakistani ones.

"What do we don’t have that they have? I think we are far better. So, we would work with our people. I would definitely prefer to take somebody from my country for my movies.”

Extending her support to her Bollywood friends Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan Farah said, "I think there are a handful people, not even handful but may be two people we are talking about. They are not important in the scheme of things."

Farah said that the ban should not be imposed on the films that have been completed with Pakistani actors in it since those films were done when it wasn't illegal to have Pakistani artists.

"When they did those movies, it wasn’t illegal to have Pakistani actors working in Indian movies. The movies were shot at considerable expense and hard work, I don’t think it is fair to ban those movies."
