The freedom wave in Kashmir has reached its culmination
FAISALABAD: India has banned all Pakistani actors, artists and technicians from working in Indian movies. This is a condemnable act. The Indian government had allowed Pakistani artists to work in India after completing background checks on them through their visa process. Unfortunately, many Bollywood movie stars like Shah Rukh Khan, who was once an advocate of Pakistan-India reconciliation, praised the Indian army for carrying out what they termed an anti-terrorism operation. Mr. Khan should only focus on the language of art and not worry about politics.
In reality, India wants to pressure Pakistan into withdrawing support for the freedom of Kashmir. India’s useless pressure tactics could be harmful for the whole region. The freedom wave in Kashmir has reached its culmination. India cannot suppress the right to self-determination of the Kashmiris; this is written on the wall and the Indian government should realise it.
