Safe drinking water is the right of every human being
KARACHI: Water is the second essential natural gift for human survival after oxygen in our atmosphere. Its shortage is a serious problem for the whole country, especially for Balochistan. No one in the ranks of the government is serious about solving the problem at the earliest. Decreasing natural water resources, depleted reservoirs and faulty distribution systems are some of the reasons for the looming water crisis. Cities like Gwadar and many others lack the facility of having access to clean water. This forces people to drink unsafe water and, as a result, many people fall ill, including young children, due to waterborne diseases.
Safe drinking water is the right of every human being and it should be provided at any cost. The government should take note of the current miserable situation in Balochistan in particular, and do something about the water management plan.
