LAHORE: Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court on Saturday asked the chief justice to constitute a larger bench to hear a petition against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s sit-in near the Raiwind residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Lawyer AK Dogar, who filed the petition, said that PTI chief Imran Khan had created a similar situation two years ago. He said that Khan had delivered hate speeches and divided the society during his anti-government sit-in in Islamabad in 2014. He said that Khan was again asking the prime minister to step down in the wake of Panama Leaks.

Dogar prayed to the court to restrain the PTI chief from staging a sit-in near prime minister’s residence and laying siege to it.
