Apex Committee Meeting: Security measure to be streamlined

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Apex Committee met at Governor House to review law and order situation on Saturday. The meeting, held under the chairmanship of Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, discussed measures to implement National Action Plan in letter and spirit. The meeting was held in wake of the attack on district courts in Mardan and a Christian colony in Peshawar. It was decided that efforts need to be taken to streamline security measures in the province. The committee also discussed security along the CPEC route and decided to establish a special patrol unit as part of Gilgit-Baltistan Police. The meeting also offered prayers for the departed soul in terrorist attacks of Mardan and Swabi.
