Acting chairperson directs CDA officials to improve productivity

ISLAMABAD: The capital’s civic agency officials have been directed to ensure timely completion of ongoing projects.

All board members and senior staff must dispose of their daily work in a timely fashion as well as be necessitated to notify the focal person of their respective directorate, said the Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s Acting Chairperson Hassan Iqbal.

The acting chairperson elucidated this during his first meeting at the CDA headquarters with high-level officials, on Wednesday.

He explicated that this was necessary, as the focal persons would address queries from the general public along with maintaining liaison with other departments.

Iqbal clarified that the civic body along with the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) would serve residents within their domains and stressed that strategic planning of all public welfare projects should be based on feasibility.

He emphasised the importance of the timely completion of projects, in addition to, directing them to devise a viable strategy for initiating new development ventures in the capital.

Notwithstanding, Iqbal underscored the need to improve those services through timely redressal of issues and complaints.

He warned the officials that no laxity and unnecessary delay would be tolerated.
