BATKHELA: Over 15 Dengue patients were received at a hospital Batkhela on Thursday, focal person for the dengue prevention program Dr Tanveer told The Express Tribune. “At least two women and 13 men patients were among the people who arrived at the medical facility,” he added. The doctor said most of the people were from the Gulshan Abad, Sharif Abad and Dir areas. A water shortage and lacking hygiene are the main cause of the dengue virus. He asked the provincial government to arrange workshops to raise awareness among locals. In August, the hospital received 30 patients and the figures are likely to increase by September.
