Criminal assault: Two boys arrested for ‘kidnapping’ girl

Initial medical examination of the girl has confirmed the crime

RAWALPINDI: The police arrested two suspects on Sunday for allegedly kidnapping gang-raping a 13-year-old girl in Sadiqabad area.

The police arrested Asif, 21, and Anil, 19, for kidnapping *NW, a resident of Trolly Adda on Khanna Road, while she was returning home from tuition centre. Initial medical examination of the girl has confirmed the crime.

Sub-Inspector Qaisar who was leading the investigation told The Express Tribune that father of the girl informed the police that his daughter left her house at about 3pm on Saturday to attend her tuition centre.

He said that the complainant further said that her daughter did not return home till late at night and they started looking for her.

A friend of the girl told the family that two motorcyclists had kidnapped NW.

The police officer quoted the father that Asif was a first cousin of her daughter’s friend at the tuition centre.

They learnt that the boys had taken NW to a house at Milad Chowk in Sadiqabad.

The family informed the police who arrested Asif and recovered the girl.

Later on Asif’s information the police also arrested Anil.

They will be presented before a magistrate on Monday for seeking their remand.
