MULTAN: Police teams have been constituted to curb one-wheeling on Independence Day, City Traffic Officer Sharif Jutt said on Saturday.

Regional Transport Authority Secretary Kashif Dogar was also present at the meeting.

Jutt said a crackdown had been launched on the orders of the provincial government against those performing road stunts on Independence Day.

He said strict action would be taken against those who were arrested in the crackdown against one-wheeling.

“They will face summary trials and strict punishments would be imposed on them under Section 99-A of Motor Vehicles Ordinance,” he said.

“Parents should discourage their children from participating in such dangerous activities,” he said.
