I think it was in poor taste for the media to show interviews of the widow of one of Raymond Davis’ victims.
LAHORE: I think it was in poor taste for the electronic media to show interviews of the widow of one of Raymond Davis’ victims — as she lay on her death bed! Surely, the best thing would have been done to take her statement and read it rather than showing a dying woman. Perhaps, this is an occasion as good as any for the media to set up a self-regulatory mechanism, whereby such coverage is minimised. Or, at the very least, viewers should be warned that what they are about to see is graphic and harrowing in nature.
