Equal rights

Every government and non-government employee has the right to be heard

ISLAMABAD: Employees in organisations at both the federal and provincial levels are reported to be facing numerous obstacles and dilatory tactics and gimmicks created by the retired-rehired lot in accessing justice and employees’ rights as enjoyed by regular employees in all the other government sector organisations. They also face specific legal and social barriers due to their particular status of being employees of what they call corporate organisations.

Retired and rehired employees have a habit of creating complex and lengthy procedures, using vague legal language, lacking coordination and cooperation between regular, contractual and deputation employees, and avoid hearing out regular employees whose rights, life and welfare are adversely affected.

Every government and non-government employee has the right to be heard and to obtain timely and efficient remedies when his or her rights are being violated. There needs to be a stop to this constitutional violation and equal rights must be granted to all.
