Creating opportunities: Cyprus university offers scholarships to students in K-P

Varsity will also support students, will provide them jobs

PESHAWAR: Final International University, North Cyprus has offered scholarships to deserving students in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in the field of tourism and engineering.

In this regard, a four-member delegation met K-P Minister for Law Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi at the finance department’s committee room on Thursday.

Final International University delegation head Professor Dr Cem Birol said the university was founded by one of the best educational institutions of Turkey. “The university will provide fully funded scholarships to students of K-P.” He hoped the provincial government would support and help them in selecting deserving students.

Birol further said they would finalise the selection criteria in coordination with the provincial government. He pointed out scholarships would be awarded in two disciplines – tourism and engineering.

“The varsity will also support the students after completion of their degrees and help them get jobs in private companies,” Birol said.

Meanwhile, Qureshi assured the delegation of his support and said the scholarships will not only provide higher education facilities, but support job opportunities for the younger generation.
