This clearly shows that anyone in this country can be made a target of terrorists and no one is safe
KARACHI: We have lost yet another iconic personality in Amjad Sabri to a terror attack. He was a great man with a wonderful voice. That a man with such talent can be killed is a huge tragedy for everyone in Pakistan. No one could have expected this to happen.
Acts of violence in Karachi are commonplace. People are targeted through guns and bomb blasts. While one can sometimes understand the reason behind why certain people, like politicians or judges may be targeted, it is beyond comprehension why someone like Amjad Sabri, a qawwal and a Sufi singer, was killed. He wasn’t part of any political party and was not a government official, so why was he killed? This clearly shows that anyone in this country can be made a target of terrorists and no one is safe.
