PCB has allowed players to take their families on tour till start of the series

KARACHI: The Pakistan team departs today for their important tour of England, with the players gathering at the National Cricket Academy and reporting to team manager Intikhab Alam.

Most of the players were barred by the board to appear in media or give interviews ahead of the tour and will have limited interactions with the English media as well.

However, the PCB has allowed the players to take their families on tour till the start of the series. “The players have been allowed to take their families on tour for 21 days but will have to send them back before the Test series begins,” a PCB official told The Express Tribune.

“Some of the players wanted to spend some time with their families since they have been mostly away on national duty.”

This will be the first assignment for new head coach Mickey Arthur, while it will see the return of Mohammad Amir in England after the infamous spot-fixing scandal in 2010.
