Ramazan has just started and so has the monotonous routine of preparing iftar and sehri, every single day. While there’s no place like home for iftar time, it’s always good to give the homemaker a well-deserved rest, once in a while. While the restaurant scene in Lahore is currently on top of its game, here’s a list of five eateries you should definitely visit to satisfy your taste buds during the holy month.

Veranda Bistro



Located in Gulberg 2, right before MM Alam Road, is Veranda Bistro. Known for its exceptionally-versatile iftar buffet menu, the place offers the most extravagant main courses, ranging from the Roast Leg of Baby Lamb and the Grilled Fish Brazillian Sauce, to the salads, soups and desserts. Priced at Rs1,950+tax (per head), the place is definitely worth trying out.

Arcadian Café



This eatery is also located in Gulberg. Mouth-watering steaks, pizzas and soups make the place one of Lahore’s top restaurants. It offers around 22 main course dishes in its iftar buffet, including Cream of Mushroom Soup, Texas BBQ Steak, Parma Fish and Spicy Sesame Beef. Before the main course, you will be served an Iftaar Platter comprising chicken wings, chicken sandwich, fruit salad and lemonade. With an assorted dessert section included in the buffet, the iftar deal costs Rs1,725+tax (per head).

Daar Cheeni



Daar Cheeni provides exquisite desi cuisines from all around Pakistan. It offers an appealing iftar buffet deal comprising 23 items. Milk Soda, Fish Pakora, Mutton Oozy, Chicken Jaypuri are amongst the prominent offerings. The dessert menu entails Gulaab Jamun, Shahi Kheer and Murabbas and will definitely want you to visit once again. Daar Cheeni’s Ramazan iftar buffet is priced at Rs1,599+tax (per head).

Café Backyard



Café Backyard is not only a great hangout place but also leads the line with its elaborate food menu as well. The place offers interesting items such as Buffalo Hot Wings and Fish Cheese Dumplings, while the dinner menu is divided into Continental, Asian Fusion and Desi Fusion. Café Backyard is like a dream iftar place to settle hunger twinges in your growling tummy. The iftar-cum-dinner is priced at Rs1,465+tax (per head).

Nando’s



Fitness fanatics could easily mark Nando’s as their favourite go-to restaurant for iftar. The diner has reworked the usual pakora, samosa and dahi baray iftar menu and the deals are definitely pleasing for both the tummy and the pocket. At Nando’s, the iftar deal comprises two chicken quarters, one serving of Peri Bites, one of Peri Chips, Spicy Rice and two bottomless drinks for approximately Rs650+tax (per head).
