Sustainable Development: Importance of diversity stressed

Dr Fouzia said awareness about cultural diversity was first to be raised among students at school and college levels

Speakers at a ceremony to commemorate World Day for Cultural Diversity have observed that efforts to raise awareness among school children about cultural diversity are necessary for sustainable development in Pakistan. A number of speakers addressed a ceremony held in connection with the World Day for Cultural Diversity at National College of Arts (NCA) here on Tuesday. The ceremony was organised by the Unesco and the NCA with the support of Danish Center for Culture and Development and in collaboration with Unicorn Black, and Special Talent Exchange Program. Dr Fouzia Saeed, executive director Lok Virsa said awareness about cultural diversity was first to be raised among students at school and college levels.
