All of the corrupt become united once there is any danger of their ill-deeds being exposed
ISLAMABAD: Weeks have passed and there has been plenty of debate on the Panama affair on television talk shows. Debates have centred on the controversial terms of reference for the proposed judicial commission that will investigate those whose names appeared in the Panama leaks.
Like many others in our corrupt society, I am not too optimistic about the elimination of the monster of corruption. The reason is that we live in a country where all the corrupt become united once there is any danger of their ill-deeds being exposed. They work hard to hide their financial crimes. And the most unfortunate part of the matter is that the helpless innocent citizens are left suffering, with no fault of their own.
