KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain is a 'puppet' of Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), which has been masterminding killings and violence in Karachi, said former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal.

"RAW has been spending money for the last 22 years to destroy Karachi. It has been orchestrating violence in the city," said the chief of the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) while addressing a press conference at his residence on Tuesday.

Talking about his recent visits to Sukkur and Ranipur, Kamal termed them successful and said the people had supported him and openly welcomed the PSP. "The people of Sindh are giving us love and we are grateful for that," he said.

The former city nazim from MQM said his party had started its activities across the country. Giving details, he said that organisational work has started in Punjab, four offices have been opened in Hyderabad and they will soon visit Balochistan as well. He also said that they were going to open a central office in Karachi as well as district offices.

Hitting out at Altaf, he said that if the MQM chief doesn't have connections with RAW, then he should openly reject the allegations.

"For the last 20 years, thousands of people have been killed in Karachi," he said. "People should realise who is destroying this city."

Kamal further said that the ultimate aim of RAW is to damage the educational, financial and health setup of the city.
