Alleged target killers had mowed down 7,224 people in the metropolis, says statement

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh have claimed to have arrested over 800 target killers involved in more than 7,000 cases of murder in the metropolis since the start of Karachi operation.

“The Rangers troops arrested 848 target killers since the beginning of Karachi operation on September 5, 2013,” the Rangers spokesperson said in a statement on Tuesday.

“These target killers had killed 7,224 people in the metropolis."

The paramilitary force initiated surgical operations against target killers and militant wings of different political, religious outfits in the wake of the decision taken by the Supreme Court, added the statement.

Rangers also appealed the masses to be vigilant and inform the paramilitary force about criminal activities, assuring the complainant’s name would be kept secret.
