Dha golf open: Championship to commence from Thursday

Tournament is expected to feature more than 200 golfers

The seventh edition of the All-Pakistan DHA Karachi Cup Open Golf Championship will tee off at the Defence Authority Country and Golf Club (DACGC) from Thursday, announced DACGC secretary Brig (retd) Tariq Rafique on Wednesday.


The championship, which is being held on an annual basis since 2009 and is recognised by the Pakistan Golf Federation and the Sindh Golf Association, is expected to feature more than 200 golfers and will be played over 54 holes for three days by professionals and amateurs, while senior professionals will play for two days.

Seniors, veterans, ladies, juniors and masters will play for only one day.


Pakistan’s number one golfer Mohammad Munir will be defending his title in the professional category, while Zohaib Asif will defend his amateur title.
