Quetta Gladiators defeated Karachi Kings by five wickets in the fourteenth match of the inaugural Pakistan Super League at Sharjah.

Karachi Kings scored 126 runs in 20 overs due to the efforts of Shoaib Malik, who scored 45 runs from 38 deliveries.

On the other hand, Quetta restricted Karachi to a low target thanks to the efforts of Grant Elliott, who claimed four wickets in his four overs. Anwar Ali, Mohammad Nabi, Zulfiqar Babar and Aizaz Cheema claimed one wicket apiece for Gladiators.

Quetta's batsmen chased the target in 18.5 overs as Karachi's bowlers failed to make any major impact in the match. Ahmed Shehzad scored 41 from 27 deliveries whereas Kevin Pietersen and Sarfraz Ahmed scored 26 and 29 respectively.

Usama Mir claimed two wickets for Karachi, with Imad Wasim and Shakibal Hasan claiming one wicket apiece.

Post-match presentation

Sarfraz Ahmed: "I would give credit to the bowlers for today's victory. The way how our team has been bowling for the past couple of matches is commendable. We still need to work on our batting though."

Shoaib Malik: "I don't think today's wicket was a 180-score pitch. 150 would have been a decent total to defend but unfortunately we were unable reach that mark because of Quetta's bowling."

Man of the match is Grant Elliott for his bowling: "It was a good pitch today for the bowlers and I was fortunate enough to get a couple of wickets. I would like to thank my team members and management for their support for this performance."
