Earlier, Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai disclosed she has no qualms about her on-screen pairing with much-younger actor Ranbir Kapoor in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, this time the Tamasha actor opens up about how he feels playing the love interest of an actor who is his senior.

The former Miss World was rumoured to be uncomfortable doing intimate scenes with her younger co-star, however, Ranbir seems to be unaffected by the wide age gap.

In an interview with DNA, Ranbir spoke at length about his equation with the Jazbaa actor. He confirmed the news of starring alongside Ash saying, “Of course Aishwarya and I play each other’s love interest in the film."

Fans went crazy when the two superstars made headlines for their portrayal of a"modern relationship" in Karan Johar's upcoming film.

The 33-year-old actor also shared that his real-life equation with Ash dates back to the days of Aa Ab Laut Chalen a 1999 film helmed by Rishi Kapoor.

“It’s a dream to work with Aishwarya. I was an assistant on the sets of my father’s Aa Ab Laut Chalen (Ash starred in the film) and I was so enamoured by her — it wasn’t just her looks — but because at the time, she levelled with me and acted like a friend”.

Ranbir further said that their equation hasn't change over the course of these 17 years. “I still have that relationship with her and we are like friends. I can still tell her anything now, like I would back then. We are still the same," he said.
