There are training camps of terrorists, in border areas of Afghanistan, being sent to Pakistan to carry out crimes
ISLAMABAD: For many years, American drones had been pounding the so-called Taliban hideouts in North and South Waziristan based on various intelligence data they received. How many criminals and how many innocents were killed over that period is known only to intelligence agencies. However, it has been established that a large number of innocent people, including women and children, were also killed and are referred to as collateral damage.
Ever since Pakistan mounted strong action against the same Taliban hideouts, these criminals found refuge in the border areas of Afghanistan. Suddenly, they became ‘good Taliban’ for the Americans and their drone activity against these militants stopped. There is substantial evidence that these safe havens are in fact training camps for terrorists that are then being sent regularly to Pakistan in order to carry out heinous crimes against innocent Pakistani civilians. These criminals are being funded and trained by an unfriendly neighbour whose senior leadership has repeatedly threatened that it will damage Pakistan through terrorism.
Our weak and indecisive leadership seems to have conceded huge ground towards our eastern and western neighbours. As far as the US is concerned, we sold our sovereignty to it when the first shipload of American wheat docked at Karachi port in 1953. How long are we going to pay the price through our lives due to the inaction of our spineless leadership?
