Alamdaar road blast: Journalists remembered on anniversary

The journalist community also offered Fateha for the victims of Alamdar Road blast

QUETTA: A candlelight vigil was held on Sunday in front of the Quetta Press Club on the third death anniversary of slain journalists Saifur Rehman, Muhammad Imran Sheikh and Mirza Iqbal Hussain. Members of the Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) and Quetta Press Club lit candles in memory of the three journalists who were killed along with more than 100 people of ethnic Hazara community in two suicide attacks in the Hazara neighbourhood of Alamadar Road on January 10, 2013. The journalist community also offered Fateha for the victims of Alamdar Road blast. “It was a horrific day for the people of Balochistan, because not only ordinary people, our Journalists and Edhi volunteers were also targeted in the brutal act of barbarism,” said BUJ President Hamadullah.
