TURBAT: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is the only organisation with the authority to verify educational degrees before a student can apply for a job or go aboard for higher education. There is not one HEC office in Balochistan and students have to travel 40 to 50 hours to the office in Islamabad.
An HEC office in Balochistan is very much needed as many students in the province are becoming discouraged from seeking higher education due to this reason. I request the government and the HEC to consider setting up an office in Makran or Quetta.
