PESHAWAR:

PTI has completed registering members in K-P for upcoming intra-party elections.

According to details issued from the party’s provincial secretariat, at least 75,000 members were registered during the week-long campaign which was carried out on a trial basis.

The trial was carried out last week to ensure no technical faults remain in the newly launched registration software. Elections will be carried out through an SMS service. Earlier, PTI provincial organiser Fazal Muhammad Khan held a workers convention in Tarakai House, Swabi where he met workers and listened to their concerns related to intra-party polls.

He assured the workers the party was carrying out efforts to ensure fair and transparent elections. “Computerised memberships will ensure fair elections in which mistakes of the past will not be repeated.

We have to make every effort to make memberships and elections in K-P successful in order to set an example for other provinces,” added Fazal Khan.
