Jinnah’s Pakistan (II)

Published: January 11, 2011

ISLAMABAD: A killer is being turned into a hero and the tragedy is that many people don’t see anything wrong with that. The so-called ‘liberal’ point of view at the moment is that people should remain within the confines of the law when expressing their views. Mumtaz Qadri, whom many people are now calling a ‘ghazi’ has acted outside the confines of the blasphemy law itself because if he thought that Salmaan Taseer had committed blasphemy he should have filed a court case against him.

Everyone has a right to express their opinion, what is needed is tolerance to listen to those views.
