The state of education (II)

Letter December 27, 2015
Govt should devise strategies to ensure that our teachers receive adequate training

LARKANA: Through your paper, I want to highlight the sensitive issues surrounding the education system of Sindh. Many people hold the view that quality education can bring about positive changes to one’s basic behaviour and resultantly, society evolves and becomes more sophisticated. But this dream can only be achieved when our primary schoolteachers at basic levels of education live up to their roles as positive educators. Teachers need to act like role models of society and impart knowledge with honesty.

I remember when I was employed in a government school, only a few bright students managed to pass their annual exams while the rest of the students failed miserably. I want to request the government and the authorities concerned to devise strategies to ensure that our teachers receive adequate training that enables them to inspire their students.
