According to the website, the screenshots are from version 2.12.16.2 of the app, which is currently being tested internally.

Although no official confirmation has yet been received of the new feature, there is much speculation of the new feature being released in the next update. Once activated, it may be a replacement for existing video calling software such as Skype.

The new update is reported to bring with it the option for multiple chat tabs, enabling users to switch between conversations without having to return to the actual chat list.
