Being ‘liberal’ has nothing to do with being western.
LONDON: This is in response to Tazeen Javed’s article published on January 7, “Stand up to the fanatics — or you will be next”. Do liberal fascists remain silent when drone strikes take place? Do liberal fascists remain silent when people rot in jails? Not at all! Being ‘liberal’ has nothing to do with being western. Everyone has protested against drone strikes, it is the government and the military, the supposedly true defenders of the religion, who are supporters of drone strikes, but alas who would call them ‘liberal fascists’. As for Aasia Bibi committing a heinous crime, she is only guilty because everyone believes her accusers, and they have a vested interest in her being punished.
