FAISALABAD:
The district administration has established seven Christmas Bazaars at various locations in Faisalabad. The bazaars will open for business on December 22.
A city district government spokesperson said on Wednesday that the Christmas Bazaars have been set up at Saint Anthony’s School in Christian Town, Pinto Ground in Maryam Abad Waris Pura, Catholic Church in Madina Town, Grain Market in Chak Jhumra, Bilal Shaheed Park on Civil Club Road Tandlianwala, Christian Colony in Liaqat Park, Samundri, and Masjid Bazaar near Chowk Jaranwala. He said all arrangements have been completed and essential items including flour, sugar, ghee, pulses, fruits and beverages would be sold on discount.
Special monitoring officers would be stationed at the bazaars to ensure the availability of essential commodities and make sure they are sold at subsidised rates. The bazaars will remain open till late night on Christmas Eve.
