PPP government has said on many occasions that it does not plan on bringing any amendment to the blasphemy law.
ISLAMABAD: It is truly amazing the way the PPP is claiming Salman Taseer as one of its shaheeds. When the governor said that he would recommend a pardon for Aasia Bibi to the president, no one in the PPP high command paid any attention. Not one PPP minister issued a statement in his support. In fact, the PPP government has said on many occasions that it does not plan on bringing any amendment to the blasphemy law. So why claim him as their hero when they did nothing to support him when he was alive?
