Xiaomi is rumored to be developing a premium phone series called the Xiaomi MIX 5. Xiaomi MIX 5 and MIX 5 Pro are two possible variants in the lineup. According to a new source, the Surge C2 ISP might be included in the Pro variant.
The Xiaomi MIX 5 and MIX 5 Pro feature shorter model numbers of L1A and L1, respectively. With the Xiaomi MIX Fold last year, Xiaomi released its first Surge ISP, the Surge C1. The "MIPISEL" function has been discovered in the Mi code of the MIX 5 Pro, according to Xiaomiui. It has to do with the Surge C1 processor featured in the MIX Fold and the firm's yet-to-be-announced flip phone. The camera sensors and camera processor are anticipated to differ between the MIX 5 and MIX 5 Pro.
According to the rumor, the MIX 5 Pro might support either the second-generation Surge C2 ISP or the current Surge C1. It further claims that the Surge C1 chip might be used in the MIX 5. There are currently no details about the C2's available features.
The Surge C1 was in charge of the MIX Fold's multi-functional telephoto camera, which was combined with liquid-lens technology. Surge C1's 3A algorithm controlled autofocus, automated white balance, and automatic exposure all at the same time. It let MIX Fold users take better pictures in low-light situations.
