Pictures of a new clamshell phone have appeared on the internet and sources are suggesting that it could be the new foldable phone from Xiaomi. These pictures were taken from a patent application that was filed with the China National Intellectual Property Association. Although, a patent has been filed, it does not mean that a serial model will release any time soon
The clamshell phone has a large display and the front has an oval cutout for the selfie camera. The two camera cutouts show that the company is planning to install two sensors on the front. The real panel of the phone has a module which is very similar to the Xiaomi 11 Ultra with a secondary screen on the rear end. The phone might have a dual camera setup on the back; however, the camera’s specifications are still unknown.
The technical details and the information regarding the release of the phone are still unknown. However, Xiaomi will also step-in in the journey of clamshell phones as other companies like, Samsung, Huawei, Motorola and Oppo have already been in the race for the best flip phone.
