The Vivo X70, the Chinese brand's current flagship phone, has only been released for four months. That hasn't stopped Vivo from releasing yet another flagship in its X series of premium phones. A complete leak of the X80 range has surfaced, detailing practically all of its characteristics.
It's worth noting that this isn't a piece on phone releases. This is only a rumor gathering presented in the manner of a phone release announcement.
Design and Display
The Vivo X80, X80 Pro, and X80 Pro+ are likely to be part of the Vivo X80 series. Except for the X80 Pro+, which will feature a 2K screen, all phones will sport 120Hz LTPO AMOLED panels with 1080p resolution. The Pro variants will be somewhat larger than the standard models.
Internals and Storage
The basic variant will come with MediaTek's next generation of high-end chipsets, specifically the Dimensity 8000. The Dimensity 9000 will be used in the X80 Pro, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be used in the Pro+. LPDDR4X RAM will be included in the X80, while the Pro duo will include at least 12GB of LPDDR5 memory.
In terms of storage, all phones will come with at least UFS 3.1, a speedier form of storage that is widespread among today's high-end phones. The newest version of Android (12) will be installed on all these smartphone, with Vivo's Origin OS Android overlay on top.
Cameras
A 50MP Samsung GN5 lens, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor with 2X optical zoom will be the only cameras available in the regular model. With a quad-camera setup, the X80 Pro will set the standard higher, with a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor, a 12MP Sony IMX663 lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 50MP unit with 5x zoom.
The Vivo X80 Pro+'s whole camera arrangement will be made up of 50MP cameras. Two telephoto lenses with 2x and 5x zoom capabilities, as well as a primary wide-angle camera and an ultrawide camera. The X80 and X80 Pro will have 44MP front-facing cameras, while the X80 Pro+ will have a 50MP front-facing camera.
Fast Charging
The X80 will support 55W fast charging, while the Pro duo will support 65W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
There is no official debut date or pricing information for the Vivo X80 family yet, but based on the Vivo X70 series, all phones will cost more than $600. Vivo may aim to debut the phones in February or March of this year, but this information should be treated with caution.
