RAM & Storage:

The new Vivo V23 Pro will come in 3 different variants having different RAM and internal storage sizes. The phone will come with RAM options of 8GB and 12GB while for internal-memory user will have 2 options of 128GB and 256GB. This means that enough RAM and storage capacity is provided.

So far, there is no news of a memory card slot, which means that there is no option of expanding internal storage, which is a major drawback.

Display:

Talking about the display, the new Vivo V23 Pro comes with a large 6.56 inch AMOLED screen display. The resolutions are kept at a surprising 1080x2400 pixels giving an overall 401 pixels per inch. The additional feature of a full HD plus screen is also given so that the overall user experience is optimized.

Battery:

The Vivo V23 Pro comes with a relatively small 4300 mAh battery size and this might be a feature which might not sit right among the users. We have seen that even the low-mid range phones are supporting batteries of up to 6000 mAh. Although this drawback is being countered by Vivo as they are providing fast-charging facilities supporting a 44W fast-charger, will this be considered as a benefit or drawback, we will have to wait and find out.

Processor/Chipset:

The chipset embedded in Vivo V23 Pro is powered by the emerging manufacturers of chipsets, MediaTek. The upcoming phone will sport a MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 5G. Although this chipset was released last year, this is still one of the fastest chipsets currently being produced by MediaTek.

The chipset runs on an octa-core processor which perfectly complements the performance of the chipset. The GPU embedded in the Vivo V23 Pro is powered by Mali-G77 MC9. The advantage is that CPU performance increases by a remarkable 22% and it makes the phone 25% more power-efficient. The OS is Android 12 which runs along with FuntouchOS 12.

Extra Features:

Starting with the first and the foremost aspect of the smartphone, the design of the Vivo V23 Pro. Let’s address the elephant in the room, the color-changing back. As Vivo has shown in its teaser, the phone is originally yellow in color but as soon as it is exposed to UV lights, it changes color from yellow to sea-green/ turquoise color, giving an aesthetically pleasing experience to user. The entire phone is made up of glass.

The new Vivo V23 Pro does not come with a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, which might affect its popularity. The phone comes with a good quality speaker system with an added feature of active noise cancelation with a dedicated microphone. The security features of the smartphone involve a front screen embedded fingerprint scanner and there will be a face recognition option that is expected to work swiftly since a 50MP front camera will be used.

The back glass is protected by an anti-glare matte glass which helps with the color change. On the rear-end of the phone, a triple-camera system is present alongside an LED flash light. All these are contained inside a rectangular box. The camera rings decrease in size when moving from primary to secondary to macro. The branding of Vivo can also be seen at the back.

Pros & Cons:

Considering all the above features, there are obviously more advantages than disadvantages when the phone is reviewed on paper. We would definitely review the phone once it is released in the Pakistan market. The features obviously are in favor of the phone and based entirely on that, if the price is similar to the estimated price tag of Rs 79,999/=, we would definitely recommend this phone.
