Price & Colours:
Tecno is building up a reputable image in Pakistani market after a not so good start in the market. Tecno is targeting the middle class market in Pakistan, hence releasing another mid-range phone that will cost around Rs. 27,999. This 4G enabled phone comes with 3 different colors; Obsidian, Geek Blue and Powehi. The dual-SIM system is enabled in this phone.
Camera:
Now, let’s talk about the cameras, the area where Tecno is always on the criticism end. This device possesses a dual camera setup with a 13-megapixel wide camera, the second camera is unknown. The back camera is paired up with a quad LED flash. The camera features geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR and is capable of recording a 1080p video at 30 FPS. The front camera is 8 megapixels paired up with dual LED flash and also records a 1080p video at 30FPS.
RAM & Storage:
The internal memory on this device is 64GB and comes with 4GB of RAM. Mostly mid-rangers have a 4GB of RAM, but it would’ve been impressive or a great step by Tecno if the phone would’ve featured a 6GB of RAM with slightly higher price. Like almost all mid-range smartphones this phone also has a dedicated slot for microSD to expand the phone's internal memory. The microSD slot can increase the internal memory up to 128GB.
Display:
On the front there is a 6.8 inch IPS LCD massive screen present that comes with a 16M Colors, Multitouch. The screen has a resolution of 720 x 1640p with 263 ppi density. The best part of this phone is that the refresh rate of the screen is 120Hz, which comes in high end phones only. The combination of Helio P22 and 120Hz doesn’t make sense because the Helio P22 is an old chipset and will it be able to support a 120Hz screen refresh rate is a big question but again, it is better to have a feature which is available in high end phones in the price of a mid-ranger.
Battery:
In the back hood a 6000 mAh Li-Po, Non-removable battery is present that comes with an 18 watt fast charging. Now this phone has a really big battery that can run for more than a day on a single charge. Heavy usage won’t be a matter and this will be a great phone for movie enthusiasts and phone addicts. The fast charging option is also a big plus for this phone.
Processor/Chipset:
Tecno Pova Neo comes with an octa-core processor that clocks up to 1.8 GHz, which is not very good speed but it is combines with MediaTek Helio P22 and the GPU installed is PowerVR GE8320, but then at this price range, what more to expect. This setup is good for gaming at low resolution and will get the job done, but not preferable it you are running high-end apps or games. The processor and GPU used in the handset are a few years old and Tecno is still using it in their phones.
