Processor/Chipset:

The mobile device contains a chipset manufactured by Qualcomm. The newly launched Realme Q3 is embedded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G 5G SoC. This chipset runs on an 8nm technology. The chipset runs alongside an octa-core processor that consists of two 2.20GHz cores and six 1.80GHz cores. The smartphone is using Adreno 619 as the GPU. Android version 11 is currently being used on this mobile device and this operating system is using Realme’s own in-house Realme UI 12.0 as the user interface.

Battery:

The phone contains a relatively large Li-Po 5000 mAh battery pack which is non-removable. Realme has added extra functionality by supporting fast-charging technology using a 30W power adapter, which can charge the smartphone in very little time. The smartphone is launched with a big price tag of Rs 47,999/=. Let’s see in detail if the above features justify this price tag.

Extra Features:

Now, although there were hints that the phone had stereo speakers, eventually it was found out that there was only one speaker. The front of the smartphone is made of glass and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a screen protector which was popular at the time of the smartphone’s release.

The overall screen-to-body ratio of this smartphone is around 83.9% which is very good given that the smartphone belongs to the mid-range segment. The screen has a high-quality refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch-sampling rate of 180Hz. This is a great combination and counters the disadvantage of having an IPS LCD display. The phone has a typical brightness of around 450 nits and the peak brightness is around 600 nits.

The smartphone comes with a number of sensors. Some of them are: Compass, Fingerprint (side-mounted), Gyro, Accelerometer, and Proximity. The most frequently used sensor is the fingerprint sensor. This sensor is placed on the power button as the smartphone has an IPS LCD display and under-display fingerprint scanner cannot work.
