Before the public announcement in May 2020, two variants of the Mi TV Stick were leaked. The version with 4K compatibility was not available until September 2021 on the FCC. The Xiaomi-branded streaming gadget has now been formally launched.
Although, both TV Stick variant are part of the same lineup and were planned to be released together, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K has a design that is comparable to the original Mi TV Stick. The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K comes with the standard Xiaomi remote control, which has a built-in microphone for voice commands and dedicated Netflix and Amazon Prime Video hotkeys.
The specifications of the latest Xiaomi TV Stick 4K include Amlogic S902Y4 SoC, the CPU installed is ARM Cortex-A35 paired up with ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. Xiaomi TV Stick 4K comes with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. The measurements of Xiaomi TV Stick 4K are 106.8 x 29.4 x 15.4mm and it weighs 42.8g.
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K runs Android TV 11 and has features such as built-in Chromecast, Google Assistant, and more. The TV is compatible with AV1 codec and can stream 4K videos with ease. Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and DTS HD are also supported.
The other specifications of the Xiaomi Stick 4K include HDMi extendable cable and a power adaptor. Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 1 x HDMI and 1 x MicroUSB are also supported by this device. Xiaomi TV Stick 4K only comes in a single black color and the prices of this device are still not officially announced by Xiaomi.
